Requirement to obtain CNI Letter (Letter of No Impediment to Marriage) from Canadian Embassy in Jakarta
" If you are in Indonesia, you may want to check with the civil registrar office, which will perform your marriage.
However, apart from the various requirements, the Embassy is aware that the Civil registry requires a letter from the Embassy stating that we have no objection to your marriage. To issue this letter, we need to have the following information:
- Passport copies of you and your fiance
- Divorce documents if either of you were married before
- Contact information for both of you (include address and phone number)
- Fee is CAN$30.00 which is currently Rupiah260,000# payable in rupiah cash only. If you are not in Jakarta, you may send the payment via Pos Wessel
- Processing time is five working days.
Please note that you may send scan copies of the above document via e-mail.
The CNI letter has to be issued by the Embassy of Canada in Jakarta Indonesia.
